Active listening

Active listening is a communication skill where the listener fully concentrates, understands and responds to and remembers what the speaker is saying. It's more than just hearing words -it's about being present, understanding (asking helpful questions) and being compassionate, making the speaker feel truly heard.

Agility --> agile organization

Agility has its origin in software development. It stands for a new type of collaboration that no longer relies on a fixed plan and its rigorous implementation. Instead, the focus is on a shared understanding of the desired result and constant readjustment of the process.

Compared to flexible that can re-actively change its shape, but then returns to its original shape, agile means a proactive change of a form based on external and self-determined requirements and remaining in the new form.
An agile organization is designed to be highly adaptive and fast to respond to change and focused on people. Instead of rigid hierarchies and slow decision making processes, they focus on collaboration, rapid iteration and improvement. An agile organization is characterized by a customer-centric approach, cross functional teams, iterative approaches, adaptive leadership, open communication and are embracing change. --> From leadership role to leadership work

Algorithm

Algorithm is a step-by-step set of instructions or rules designed to perform a specific task or solve a problem. Each step is precisely defined (clear and unambiguous), it takes zero or more inputs, it produces at least one output (=result), it completes after a finite number of steps and each step must be basic enough to be carried out.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) --> AI integration

AI is a prediction technology allowing computers and machines to simulate human learning, understanding, problem solving, decision-making, creativity and autonomy

It excels in automation and optimization of tasks across various occupations

It can be seen as a series of derived concepts that have emerged over > 70 years:

  • 1950's  AI = Human Intelligence exhibited by machines
  • 1980's Machine learning = AI systems that learn from historical data
  • 2010s:  Deep learning  = Machine learning models mimicking human brain functions
  • 2020s: generative AI  = Deep learning models creating original content

Use cases a.o.: Customer experience, service and support I fraud detection I personalized marketing I HR recruitment I predictive maintenance I knowledge management I

Risks related to data I model I operational I ethical and legal require an appropriate Governance  (-->  EU AI act)

AI integration is used to streamline operations, enhance insights and co-creation.
